Post-Construction Cleanup

Getting construction dust out of a finished space — properly.

Overview

What post-construction covers

Drywall and sanding dust is not ordinary dust. It is fine enough to stay airborne for hours, it settles on every horizontal surface in the building including the ones nobody thinks about, and wiping it with a dry cloth mostly moves it somewhere else. Getting it out takes vacuuming with the right filtration, working top down, and going back over surfaces more than once as the air clears.

We handle the cleanup after remodels, additions, new builds and single-room renovations — kitchens and bathrooms most often. If your contractor has done a rough clean, we do the finish clean that makes the space actually usable.

A good fit if…

  • Kitchen and bathroom remodels
  • Whole-home renovations and additions
  • New construction before a client walkthrough
  • General contractors who need a reliable finish clean

How we approach it

Scope agreed before we start

Timing matters more here than in any other service. Cleaning before trades are finished means doing it twice. Tell us where the job actually stands when you request a quote, and we will schedule the finish clean for after the last dust-producing work is done.

Have product preferences — unscented, something specific for a stone or wood finish, or something you would rather we never used? Note it in your quote request and we will go through it with you rather than guess.

Pricing

Quotes are free and specific

Price depends on the size of the space, its current condition and how often you want us. We do not publish rates we have not measured against your space — tell us about it and we will give you a real number.

Post-Construction

Post-Construction Cleanup — questions we get asked

When should post-construction cleaning be scheduled?

After the last dust-producing work — sanding, cutting, grinding — is finished. If trades are still coming back, we can do an interim clean, but the finish clean should be the final step before the space is used.

Do you remove construction debris and materials?

We handle fine dust, residue and cleaning debris. Bulk material removal, offcuts and dumpster hauling are the contractor's scope — tell us what is still on site when you request a quote so nobody assumes it is covered.

Can you clean new tile and grout haze?

Yes, that is a normal part of the work. Some sealed and specialty finishes need a specific product, so tell us what was installed and we will confirm the approach before we touch it.

Do you work with general contractors?

Yes — contractors, remodelers and property managers book this service regularly. Call (312) 818-9950 with the job address and completion date and we will fit the clean to your schedule.

How long does post-construction cleanup take?

Longer than people expect, because dust keeps settling and surfaces need more than one pass. The estimate depends on square footage and how much dust the job produced — we will give you a realistic number rather than an optimistic one.
