What house cleaning covers
A standard house clean from Luxury Shine covers the rooms you live in every day — the kitchen, every bathroom, bedrooms, hallways and living areas. We work room by room from the top down, so dust that comes off shelves and fixtures gets picked up off the floor rather than settled back into it.
This is the service most Chicago-area households book first: either as a one-time reset before guests arrive, or as the visit that starts a regular schedule. If your home has not had a full clean in a while, a deep clean is usually the better first appointment — we will tell you which one fits when we quote.

Every home is different, so the checklist above is the starting point — not a fixed script. When we quote, we walk through your rooms, your priorities and anything you would rather we skip, and confirm the list before the first visit.
Have product preferences — unscented, something specific for a stone or wood finish, or something you would rather we never used? Note it in your quote request and we will go through it with you rather than guess.

How long does a house cleaning take?
It depends on the size of the home, how many bathrooms it has and its current condition. We give you a time estimate along with your quote, before anything is booked.
Do I need to be home?
No. Plenty of clients are at work while we clean. Whatever you prefer — being there, leaving a key, a lockbox or a door code — arrange it with us when you book so everyone is clear.
Should my first clean be a house clean or a deep clean?
If your home is already in good shape and you are looking for upkeep, a standard house clean is the right call. If it has been a long time, or there is built-up soap scum, grease or dust, start with a deep clean and move to standard visits after that. Ask us and we will be straight with you.
Do you bring your own cleaning supplies?
Tell us your preference when you request a quote. Some clients want everything supplied; others want us to use specific products they keep at home. We will confirm exactly what we are bringing before the visit.
